Enjoyable stay
Friendly staff, lovely big clean room. I especially appreciated the fluffy towels- in so many hotels the towels are worn and somewhat hard, so it was a pleasure to find nice bathroom towels! Swimming pool was a good size and not too busy.
Fabulous experience
I was brought a spa day for my 30th birthday and what a lovely experience it was. The staff were so so friendly, super chatty and very helpful. Ben and Dan (patience of a saint as I kept getting locked out the lockers!!) Sauna and steam room were amazing and so was the jacuzzi (it does work it just turns on for 7 minutes and then off for 7 minutes!). It was not too crowded and the people we did encounter were all members and super friendly too. Our treatments were incredible, Laura G and Jason were so lovely, informative and amazing at their job. Best massage and facial I have ever had. Easy to get to, big carpark and lovely grounds! Overall I cannot wait to come back.
First class hotel.
The hotel was was absolutely fantastic, the food was excellent and all the staff were very nice and polite. Will definitely be visiting in the future.
Nice break away
We stayed here whilst visiting the Cotswolds and surrounding areas, it was a great location to Gloucester, Cheltenham and smaller villages. We checked in, and the receptionist wasn’t rude, but also we didn’t get a warm friendly welcome from her. The room was immaculate, a good size and had everything we needed in there! A huge bed, the mattress had a dip in it, but still comfortable to sleep on. The pool area is quite dated and would benefit from a spruce up- the photos used to advertise make it look much more luxurious, but it’s definitely not a typically ‘spa’ hotel pool that you’d expect, with just a few cheap plastic chairs to sit on around the pool. The meal we had it the hotel was superb! And all staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. Overall it was a lovely hotel and we would stay again.
Great hotel and spa, underwhelming food
Good points: hotel is very clean and the rooms were well designed and spacious. We stayed for a spa break and all spa staff were top notch. We ate in the bar when we arrived and the bar lunch menu was excellent, the food was good and well presented and the bar staff were very attentive and friendly. Bad points. The food in Hardys restaurant was very mixed. The service was very slow due to being very busy. I was not impressed with my starter as I had scallops with a tomato and pinenut sauce and I paid £14.50 for 3 small queen scallops! The dauphinoise potatoes for my main course had far too much nutmeg in it and it seemed to overwhelm the flavour Breakfast was a buffet style breakfast and not a great standard with dry overcooked items. You could request items like poached or scrambled eggs from the kitchen but we waited and waited and no-one was around On the whole this was a nice place to stay, we enjoyed the spa facilities and the room was a great standard but perhaps we caught the kitchen on a bad day!!
Nice spa but a bit small
Had a lovely time celebrating a 50th birthday, spa was small but lovely however would have been nice to have loungers or beds in the relaxation area as couldn't really relax in a chair after my treatment. Laura G was a good therapist and felt relaxed at the end of treatment. Birthday card in room was nice however a small box of chocolates or a drink voucher would have made it a bit special especially for a 50th birthday. Food wasn't great in the restaurant in the evening as fish was over done and dry with hard batter but the food in the bar was much nicer on the 2nd night. Did ask for connecting rooms which wasn't allocated so had to go to reception 3 times before this was amended but lady on reception was very nice and accommodating. No slippers provided which I found strange in a spa hotel.
Weekend break
Overall stay was good, unfortunately the complementary bottles of wine in the room couldn't be opened. We also noticed lots of cobwebs and dust around the window in the restaurant. Also disappointed that there was fresh pepper grinder for guests in the restaurant.
Sun loungers
Lovely room and spa - I think it would be really nice if you could have some sun loungers out side now the weather is getting better to enhance the spa experience

The room was very comfortable and the food was excellent. The location is ideal for exploring the Cheltenham and Gloucestershire area. Two day break
May Bank Holiday Stay
Great location, lovely hotel, clean and tidy. Spa great. Two night stay, a function on each night but you'd never really know. Meal on first night superb. Extra drinks very pricey! EV charging readily available. Had an issue in the room where far too hot, but eventually rectified and adjusted. Would certainly go back. Thank you.
Very good time
This was really good. A nice hotel with terrific staff. Great location for exploring the area. Large and comfortable room. We booked as part of a package that included dinner and a bottle of wine. Bottom line was they gave us a very good deal. Happy to recommend
Enjoyably stay
Our stay here was very enjoyable, staff were all very helpful and friendly and all facilities provided were excellent. Cannot fault anything the room was very spacious as well
A very good break with only one glitch.
We really enjoyed our couple of days here. The staff were very helpful, courteous and their friendly attitude gave the hotel a welcoming atmosphere. The leisuire facilities were good, the room well equiped and breakfast was great. The only failing was the meal on the second night. It claimed to be Caesar salad with pan fried breast of chicken. It was woeful. It consisted of not much more than some lettuce leaves with what appeared to be microwaved torn off scraps of rubbery chicken on top. No anchovies, no paramasen, as advertised in the menu and a very poor, unsatisfying meal. We reported this to the waiter at the time but had no feedback. This was the only blemish on an otherwise enjoyable stay.
Pleasant stay
Pleasant stay at this Hotel when going to a RHS Flower Show at Malvern. As we were coming from London this was a convenient mid-point stay. There are two lifts but one was out of action. The restaurant had a delicious menu for our evening meal. If we go to RHS Flower Show at Malvern next year we would definitely stay here again.
Spa Morning with lunch
We really enjoyed our spa treatments. The therapists were excellent, we felt truly pampered & the Elemis products were excellent. We felt totally relaxed & weren't rushed in any way. We would like to comment on the state of the lockers as many of them weren't lockable & had faulty mechanisms. The swimming pool was really nice as were the steam room, sauna & jacuzzi. We felt that the floor surrounding the pool & particularly the changing room floor needed cleaning. The bag dispenser for wet costumes, was empty & this was not late in the day. We really enjoyed the light healthy lunch afterwards.
Great stay!
My mum and I had a two night stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and we were delighted with our hotel room which was spotlessly clean- especially the bathroom. I wanted to give a special shout out to Omar in the restaurant. He was such an attentive waiter who couldn’t have done more to make our evening so enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this hotel and its location.
Great service by Whitney and her team at the spa.
Whitney went above and beyond to deliver a fantastic experience. A small mix up at the reception of the spa- however Whitney saw that it was sorted. I can thoroughly recommend her and her team for the most wonderful massage. Very good indeed! Look forward to a few upcoming improvements of the relax room in the spa- really needs loungers rather than chairs to sit on to relax! Same with the pool area- a good number of loungers would make it perfect. Thanks Whitney for a great experience. She is a credit to your hotel spa.
Little holiday
We arrived at the hotel by car, which was easily accessible from the motorway, there was also a petrol station not far from the hotel. Cheltenham is a few minutes by car, the small villages of the Cotswolds are half an hour away. The hotel is very nice, modern, everyone was very nice and helpful from the reception to the waiters. Our room was also very nice, huge and very clean, a small negative was the bathroom a little outdated, the pipes were loud. The other negative was at dinner, the fish dish we ordered was below criticism, the fish was overcooked and very dry for me, the potatoes were thrown away and such a child's portion, I was so surprised I didn't even take a picture, but I really regretted it, I booked this accommodation on travelzoo and this promotion included dinner, if I had known this I would have paid for the food, although I don't know if I would have gotten better? The breakfast was very good both mornings with very kind service. Overall, we would happily go back but would rather skip dinner there.
Highly recommend
Hotel looks lovely coming up the drive with beautiful gardens. On arrival receptionist was very pleasant and soon checked us in. Room very clean, plenty of storage. King size bed very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice.
A warm & informative welcome
A warm and informative welcome on our Little Breaks Package. A Superior Bedroom with Coffee Pods, Tea Making and complimentary mini bar. Large comfortable bed and quiet aspect overlooking Cotswolds. Bar area was comfortable with well stocked bar, albeit NZ Sauvignon Blanc out of stock. Good bar menu with a range of sandwiches to 6pm and sharers and main meals all day. The Restaurant had many different choices and a good wine list. A coach party was seated in the conservatory area away from private guests so ambience was comfortable for conversation. Serving team did an amazing job with limited resources, good to see management supporting the service. We didn't use pool or space but the facility looked high end. Plenty of parking even with corporate clients at conference facility. A great location for exploring Cheltenham or Gloucester (by bus) or further afield in the Cotswolds.
